What's in Talkatinella's Kikay Kit?

When was the first time you have your own make-up kit a.k.a "Kikay Kit?"

I am not really that "kikay" (I think maarte doesn't count!!!) but I had my first "kikay kit" when I first got my job (the only time I had enough money, thus I have to fix myself up). My 1st kit was mainly composed of mascara, face powder, lip balm, lipstick and blush on. I am not into buying expensive make-up; hence, most of them were bought locally.

4 years ago, I have learned to follow beauty bloggers (askmewhats and beauty junkee) so my knowledge about make-up as well as make-up brands increased. I'm still not buying the expensive once, however, I tried to look for popular and affordable alternatives which will still work for me.

Here's what's in my "Kikay Kit" as of the moment:

  1. Etude House Oh! M' Eye Lash Curling
  2. Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick (Queen Bee and Temptress)
  3. Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm
  4. Maybelline Clear Smooth B.B Stick
  5. Careline Oil Control Blush On in Rosy Cheek
  6. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow
  7. Pigeon Baby Compact Powder

1. Etude House Oh! M' Eye Lash Curling

I am looking for a mascara that will curl and not add up to the volume and length of my eyelashes (ako na ang may almost perfect na eyelashes haha!!!) and I found this.

However, since I am wearing eyeglasses, I seldom use this.

2. Colour Collection Ultimate Wear Lipstick (Queen Bee and Temptress)

These are my new lippies and I love it! I get these two at sampleroom.ph for 95 points each. Colour collection is by Tupperware Brands. See my reviews below in sampleroom ph:

Temptress (right): A really must-have lippie! I love how I applied it in the morning and stays until lunchtime. With my busy schedule, I don't have time to retouch anymore. Also the moisture it put on your lips, it's amazing especially with our weather. I hope it comes in bigger size as I am using this everyday!

Queen Bee (left: my favorite!): The color of this lippie can be worn day or night. I love the texture when applied on lips: not too matte and not too shiny. The moisture and color stays for up to 4 hours. It also minimizes the lines on my dry lips. I will totally replace my expensive lippies with this one.

The colors are somewhat the same, however, temptress is more on pink while queen bee is red.

3. Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm

My hero against dry chapped lips! After buying and trying 3 lip balms, this is the one that works for me. Carmex lip balms are sold in jars, sticks and squeezable tubes. I love the smell, flavor and minty feel which lasts for at least 30 minutes.

4. Maybelline Clear Smooth B.B Stick in Radiance

As per Maybelline, this has 8 different skin benefits:
  1. Controls Shine
  2. Lasts all day
  3. Reduces the appearance of dark spots, redness, etc.
  4. Reduces the appearance of pores
  5. Conceals flaws and imperfections
  6. Evens skin tone
  7. Smoother skin
  8. Has SPF 21 PA+++ that protects from harmful UVA and UVB rays
I can use this alone thus minus the heaviness on my face. All the above benefits worked for me.

5. Careline Oil Control Blush On in Rosy Cheek

I guess this has better oil control than my BB stick. As my cheeks stayed oil free over time than the rest of my face. Weird huh?! It comes with a puff that makes it easy to apply on the cheeks. I will try Careline foundation to check if it has the same oil control power of this blush on.

6. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in Grey Brown

Because I'm a mom-on-the-go, I don't have time sharpening my eye brow pencil. So this product is really a time saver. I also love the shape of the tip I can easily redefine my brows perfectly. The amazing part is I only bought it for less than Php150.00.

7. Pigeon Baby Compact Powder

My new BFF! Because of our humid weather, I really need a back-up for oily skin. After my 1st application, you couldn't see the oiliness even if my face was sweaty (Isn't it amazing, is it?). Note that you should only buy the powder that was made in Japan. Unfortunately, this was made for babies thus no mirror included.

Other items that I want to share with you, guys:

My cutie pouch from SM Supermarket Japan Home Area for only Php88.00

My large pink comb to lessen my hair fall given by my mom-in-law
