Nail Art 101
This will be my first ever nail art tutorial post. I will try my best to teach you in the easiest way possible. You can use any brand of nail polish. Just make sure to use good base coat to protect your nails from any damage and yellowing.Nail Art of the Week
Teach Me #1:
Start with clean nails. Then use a base coat to protect your nails from chemicals used in nail polishes. -
Teach Me #2:
Using your yellow nail polish, apply two coats on the outer half of your nails. You can fully coat your index fingernails for the body of the bee to be drawn later.Teach Me #2:
Using the pen tip of a two-way nail art pen in black, draw bee lines in dots. I have chosen my pinky and ring fingernails, and thumbnails to draw these bee lines.Teach Me #3:
For the inner half part of my middle fingernails, I have drawn a bee using the pen tip of the 2-way nail art pen in black and the same yellow nail polish. Also add a bee line closer to the edge of the nails to make it look like the bee is flying. Choose your biggest finger to draw the bee as this needs more space.Teach Me #4:
For the index finger, apply two coats of black nail polish to the tip of the nails (like a french tip). Slightly thicker to have space for the eyes of the bees.Draw some horizontal lines using the brush tip of the 2-way nail art pen. This will serve as the body of the bee.
Still using your white nail polish, draw 2 circles in the black part of your index fingernails. Then, top again the white circles with a black one using the pen tip of the 2-way nail art pen. This will serve as the eyes of the bee.
Teach Me #5:
Apply a top coat to protect your nail art and to make it last. I have also applied OMG Matte Potion in Clear to have a matte effect. You says nail art are expensive? All we need is to bring out our creativity and imagination!
